Digitakt 2: Granular and Wavetables Are Great Now! | Hanging With Hexwave

There are no official granular or wavetable machines in the ‪@WeAreElektron‬ Digitakt 2, but you can easily make them yourself if you understand how they work. This is something you could do since the Digitakt 1, but has always been not too great because there were always a lot of transient clicking on rapid short sample playback (plus only 2 LFOs, no stereo samples, etc). However! On 1.10 update, one of the sneaky super important things they did was massively reduce the clicking in most cases, which made both of these things work a LOT better, even with zero attack!

This was originally a quick video I was making that was like 8 min long, but then I ended up brainstorming all these other things to try and it turned into a huge thing with days of notes and tests until finally making this video. I hope it's useful or interesting to some people, despite being super long and a lot of this knowledge being known for years. I just really think people need to give it another pass as it can be reliably and easily done now!

Anyways, mostly it just really excited me to discover and explore this stuff myself and I feel like I got another new update even though it's just stuff already in it, hidden away by knowledge checks.

I do have the last Digitone machine video ready to go as well which will be out on Wednesday, I just was too happy about this discovery and had to push it in between!
