Bidibidi is a South Sudanese refugee settlement in Northern Uganda, which, at the time, hosted about 280,000 refugees. In 2018, Michael spent three months working on a cholera prevention research project there.
Amid breathtaking nature, he witnessed for the first time what a true humanitarian setting looks like. However, what impressed him the most was the resilience of the South Sudanese refugees—how they managed to transform a refugee camp into a city after escaping a brutal civil war in South Sudan.
We wrote the poetry and produced the music driven by optimism about Africa as a continent. The optimism to realize its potential through african unity - as far away as possible from any other external influence…
