Live audio-visual hybrid set-up custom cases walkthrough by Movement81

Movement81 Live AudioVisual Hybrid setup: Custom-made Cases explained!
Lots of people have commented on our cases and often ask how they work. So we finally made a brief explainer! In this video we walk you through our bespoke cases, designed for live audiovisual sets. The cases were made to streamline the process of performing live, they pack away neatly and allow for minimal patching and fuss when arriving at venues - and they’re easy to setup in the studio when we get home from a gig.

Becky’s case was built to house three rows of Eurorack Modular, an Elektron Digitone, an Arturia Beatstep Pro, Mixer, Mac mini and iPad, and Jason’s has three rows of Eurorack Modular, an MPC Live, Akai MidiMix, APC Mini Controller, and a Behringer UMC22 audio interface.

Having just returned from performing, this video shares the post-gig process. We unpack the cases and talk a bit about how we get everything connected, setting up a network using MIDI to keep audio and visuals in sync across the two cases.

Stay tuned for more explainers or let us know in the comments what you want to see next! We’re hoping to do more in the next few months including a run-through of our Eurorack Modular gear, audiovisual syncing/clip triggering using Resolume and MIDI, hooking up projectors or anything else anyone wants to know more about!
