HEAT ANNIVERSARY!

We are delighted to announce the next HEAT ANNIVERSARY event, led by our very own HANJŌ! You still have time to polish your dancing shoes for one of our favorite underground techno and drum’n’bass party in Tokyo!

HEAT started as a small initiative to showcase underground hardware artists and DJs that were not part of the established scene. This past year the HEAT lineups have comprised many international names, some lesser know and others already established from varied creative backgrounds. Producers, architects and multi disciplinary designers that have allowed for the vision to grow, expand and get embedded in the city's cultural fabric.

Live acts:

Self Control System

Since 2012, Shunsuke Takasu and Yota Miyachi work together as Self Control System (SCS). As SCS, they are always trying to find and produces new sound and have experiment for making music in Japan. The two men who were obsessed by the sound of synthesizer produced songs, started live show in foreign places and collaborates with worldwide musicians and producers. Their synth sounds are like a floating cloud, an irregular but continuing wave or wind to shake the trees. They also record a lot of samples from the outside world to make you feel in specific places and travel somewhere.

HANJO

Making music with a small footprint, and creating soundscapes driven by this philosophy. The scarcity of space in Tokyo (where the artist is currently based) sparkled, in 2020, the birth of HANJŌ, the name given to David Minton’s electronic music explorations. The project, aptly named after a Japanese term meaning “a half tatami mat.”, embraces minimalism and resourcefulness, resulting in a distinct sonic identity to resonate with his listeners.

DJs:

Czarnogg x Chediak x ALLALOON x Otomono
