HEAT Vol. 4 @ Ruby Room, Tokyo | July 27, 2024

We are delighted to announce the next HEAT Vol. 4 event, led by our very own HANJŌ! You still have time to polish your dancing shoes for one of our favorite underground techno and drum’n’bass party in Tokyo, located in the center of Shibuya behind the 109 building.

This initiative is born from the need of a space of intersection for a growing underground community of hardware producers and sound explorers with the more established club scene. HEAT brings a taste of raw and unfiltered artistic expressions from artists, djs and producers alike.

Line-up:

ALLALOON

Polina, as a real nerd in old-school and techno culture original sounds, started her journey seeking groovy tracks since her mid school ages. Being a crazy lover of electronic music, exploring musical scenes all over the world, now she is beginning her musical trip in Tokyo, in a new appearance as a dj. Getting inspired by her favorite musicians and places she is playing, her performances every time sound different: from happy groovy techno to dark minimal house vibes. But all the performances pursuit to share passion, emotions and beautiful sounds, bringing the people all together.

KHANTS

Inspired by such well-known Drum&Bass labels like Critical Music and Dispatch Recordings KHANTS started producing his own sonics back in 2017. In mixes, he is trying to combine the melody style of liquid funk with dark sounds of techstep. What is most important for him is the delivery of the break bit groove high energy.

HANJO

Making music with a small footprint, and creating soundscapes driven by this philosophy. The scarcity of space in Tokyo (where the artist is currently based) sparkled, in 2020, the birth of HANJŌ, the name given to David Minton’s electronic music explorations. The project, aptly named after a Japanese term meaning “a half tatami mat.”, embraces minimalism and resourcefulness, resulting in a distinct sonic identity to resonate with his listeners.

AGUSTIN SPINETTO

Agustín Spinetto is a musician and Sound Artist from Argentina based in Tokyo. He's a versatile artist who combines electronic and acoustic music with cutting-edge technology. Through his musical and artistic endeavors, he consistently weaves a common thread of time, distance, and social consciousness. Agustín's creative focal point lies in the realm of music improvisation, where he employs synthesizers and music programming to craft genres such as hip hop, dub, experimental, and noise, showcasing an impressive range of musical styles. He has done several live presentations at concert halls, galleries and universities in New York, Seoul, Barcelona, Paris, Tokyo and Argentina.
